I've tried everything
Different shaving creams
Letting my legs soak in water
Different razors
Exfoliating
But everytime I shave my legs I get small bumps mostly only on my thighs
And I can still see little black hairs on my legs
Am I doing something wrong
I even moisturizer right after with neutrogena body oil

Exfoliate twice and shave at the end of your shower to give the pores time to warm up and open up

Invest in a good quality razor even if it's expensive. The kind that has like 4 or 5 blades.

I like to actually use mens razors. The replacment razors are a little pricey but they usually get all the hair and are sensitive enough.

Are the bumps itchy? I get itchy bumps and I've figured out how to calm them down. But idk about the hairs. :/

What I do is use body soap as a shaving cream and a hypo allergenic one (I have st. Ives) and the shave and put conditioner on top and don't rinse completely just run them over water and for me I can't touch them for a while other wise ill itch again I don't even dry them :P but I'm allergic to a lot of things and this is what has helped me a lot.

Shaveworks The Cool Fix.
This stuff is the stuff of the Gods. It's kind of expensive for a post-shave product, but I seriously don't care how much it costs. It's amazing.

I would suggest to steer clear of anything with frangrance. I used to have this same problem and realized it was my body lotion that was causing the irritated pores, because of the fragrance in them. I now shave with aveeno theraputic shave gel and moisturize with aveeno daily moisturizing lotion. Neither have fragrance or irritating ingredients.

this is normal. when i started shaving, i got really annoyed by the red bumps too. eventually, they do go away. i personallly recommend that venus embrace with the soap on the edges, and use shaving creams with little or no fragrance.

I had a similar issue and surprisingly my esthetician told me to shave with hair conditioner its so silky smooth and better then any shaving gel i have ever used. It worked great for me!

I second shaving with conditioner. I also like to follow with a little coconut oil afterwards. I tend to go for cheaper disposable blades that I can change very often - I used to use one razor for a two-week span but I'm doing better if I change once a week - or more often than that if I'm getting really sensitive.

I used to have the same problem! What helped me was to put lotion on while my legs were still damp and when they dry reapply it

I've switched to men's razors beacause I had the same problem, but only round my bikini line, works better, also use shaving gels and a bit of aloe vera cooling gel on afterwards, if that doesn't work, try waxing.

i have the same issue and so i bought a wax warmer and can of wax from sally beauty supply so i could wax my own legs. it helped with the bumps but not completely, and the hair didnt grow back for quite a few weeks.
