Earlier this year I went from bright red "Ariel" hair to a more natural shade. I used the One n Only Colorfix color remover kit from Sally beauty supply. This stuff worked way better than Color Oops and didn't smell as bad, although it still smells. I only had to leave it on for about 30 minutes and went from bright red to a strawberry blonde. Red is really hard to strip out and you may actually need to bleach your hair first but don't do it yourself. Go to a salon if you really want to get rid of the red.
