Do you guys think I can achieve this look on my own without having to spend a fortune at a salon? If so how can I and what would I need to buy?

It does seem risky. I would just use bleach and make sure you have the precise amount of hair you want bleachedi think it is possible. Go to a Salon and don't get it done there but ask what woul be the best way.

Loreal Feria has a great ombr? box kit you can buy! It is a tad risky, but you can pull off! If you look at some YouTube videos, it's actually not a difficult process, you just might have to have someone help you do the back! :)

It is absolutely possible, but if you aren't sure I wouldn't recommend it. Bleach is risky to play around with, and if you do decide to do it on your own please be sure you are researching a lot before hand and buy all the proper supplies. For an ombré this light you also need to space out your bleachings, as you'll need more than one and there's no point having a beautiful ombré if your hairs almost fried off

I would just go to a salon and get it done, but if you do it at home, do a lot of research on how to do it. I would bleach then tone with an ashy or violet color
