Aww...it is messy for me so I gave it up, but my friend loves it. You can't go wrong with a hair clip. Hope you find one you dig and come back to show us.

I just tried hair chalk today and hated it, I have thick and long hair so it takes me awhile to do it and I hate the texture it makes my hair feel.

Hair chalk or a clip in is a great idea. I agree!

I agree with Brittany. Just get a clip in. It'll also save you the hassle of damage and recoloring it. But if you're set on dying it, make sure you won't be able to see it in a ponytail either, or else you'll go insane not having that option. (So don't do it around your hairline) best of luck to ya!

And I love that idea Brittany, it'd work out great.

It's more of the company's rules and my manager has to enforce it, I've been working as a courtesy clerk at a grocery store for about 10 months. I'm also 17 so it's not a serious Job and I'm also at an age where I should be allowed to have a bit of creativity.

I absolutely think it's possible to hide, and it's ridiculous that your manager has such strict rules especially with a small highlight. You could 1. Buy a clip in purple highlight, and use as many as your like or 2. Get your highlight, and for work braid it, and then wrap it around itself in almost a little bun and pin it underneath your hair! If it's just one it definitely won't be hard to hide

I think the higher up thing would work. However, I would advise you to just follow the dress code and NOT risk it. A little life advice, no hair dye is worth loosing your job over... One day you might be able to do it but right now it probably isn't a good idea, no matter how much you want it

That's a bummer ): I honestly wouldn't want to work with a manager who's rules are that ridiculous. What job are you applying for? I'd just pin the piece up as you said.

I want to get a small purple streak underneath my layers and will be visible on the longer part of my hair, but my manager told me I won't be scheduled if the purple can be seen. It's only a tiny bit and I really want to do it, any suggestions on how to hide the streak at work? I was thinking of clipping the streak up higher underneath my layers but want more ideas. Thank you!
