Hi, I'm going to the ninth grade in September, and I was wondering what some of you guys would suggest to wear as an everyday look for school. I have a dark skin tone and mild acne.😓😑I don't think I'm ready for foundation though so just something simple that would give me coverage and maybe make my eyes pop or something. Thanks in advance😊

I'm going into 9th grade too! I wear a full face. You can wear whatever you are comfortable wearing 😊 No one knows your style and preferences better than you do! I usually experiment with my makeup and hope for the best haha!

I agree with Katelyn, I'm going into my junior year and have always worn a full face, my advice, especially to a freshman, keep with the neutral colors, don't wear a bright red lip or neon purple eyeshadow (but a soft eyeshadow would be okay) but that's just me and my school from experience! :)

It definitely depends on your comfort zone. In ninth grade I wore a full face and typically wore a bold lip color. However, for something more simplistic maybe bb cream for slight coverage? You could also use a bit of concealer or get a foundation that matches you exactly and only use it in area you feel need it. Eyeliner definitely makes eyes pop along with mascara, and if you're comfortable enough to do it I would experiment with different colored eyeliners. If you're okay with wearing eyeshadow, I think that gold eyeshadows look absolutely wonderful on darker skin tones. If you want to wear lipstick but don't want anything bold, a nude lipstick would work out great. A lot of my friends who have darker skin tones use Mochalicious from Wet n Wild (about $3). Hope this helped :)

It's allllll about what you're comfortable with. If you haven't worn makeup at all yet, I would start with 1-3 products and slowly rotate more in (if you want to) so you aren't too overwhelmed.

I'd start with a tinted moisturizer or BB/CC cream with SPF...maybe a little brown mascara (or clear) and either lip gloss or a lip stain from the drugstore. The ladies are right in that it is about your comfort level. Even if you skip applying cosmetics to your complexion, I implore you to use a broad spectrum sunscreen for healthy skin today..and in the future.
