I also have oily skin and I really like Lorac Porefection Mattifying primer, the benefit Porefressional, and Loreal Pore Vanisher... They work pretty well to minimize oil but I honestly haven't found a primer I love. The hourglass one didn't work well for me either... But these are so far my favorites. :)
I love the makeup forever step one primer the grey one there is to gray ones am talking about both they both work really good just that one is heavier than the other and also the Urban decay pore complexion primer.
I haven't found my holy grail primer yet for oily skin either. I tried the cover fx and it broke me out so bad. The Loreal's Magic Perfecting Base didn't do much for me. The only thing I liked about the Benefit Porefessional was the smooth feeling it left on my skin. I recently bought one from Sally's but I can't remember the name. It's working pretty well and I can get the name if you'd like. (sorry for the big blurb)
Estee Lauder Matte Perfecting Primer, it's absolutely a power house paired with it's double wear foundation. This primer is a must to have no question :)
