I wanted to share my neutral with a pop of color makeup look today with you all. This is pretty much a basic eye look, but instead of the usual dark eyeliner on the bottom lashline I decided to use purple! Here's how I achieved this look:
Face:
Smashbox Hydrating foundation in 2.2: I find this best to use a damp sponge as the finish can be a little bit obvious so I like to use this method, this is one of my favorite foundation to use for a night out. It doesn't budge!
Kat von D contour kit in Sombre for contour and Lyric to set concealer. I realize my contour is very subtle, I honestly don't like harsh anything besides a fierce eyeliner can you ladies feel me
Benefit blush in Sugarbomb (all around perfect color for any look, very subtle)
The Balm Mary loumanizer highlight applied to top of cheeks, Cupid's bow and bridge of nose
EYES:
ABH pomade in medium brown to outline and fill outer half, and Blonde to fill the inner half. I also used the clear gel to set.
Kat Von D shade and light eye palette in the neutral undertone section. I used all four as its intended instruction in the palette. Just simple! Used the base to set UD primer, the light brown as my transition color, the dark brown for my outer v and the lightest color for my brow bone and inner corner.
I used Inglot gel liner in shade 77 with a Mac angled liner brush for the wing, then used a sigma eyeliner brush for the rest!
For the purple Pop of color I used Urban Decay eyeliner in the shade voodoo and smudged it with the transition shade using a pencil brush, I don't have a smudging brush.
I prepped my lashes with Tarte 4 in 1 mascara then applied house of lashes In Siren,
LIPS:
finished the look with Mac Faux Lipstick, using Nyx mauve as the liner.

Les, thanks girl!
Rebecca, I have been using nyx mauve as my lipliner for any nude lip. I feel like it's the closest to my bare lips and doesn't alter too much of the lipstick!

Lol! Livi I really like all your looks, always have. What's great about them is you make them look effortless and down right pretty. You always put in a pop of color yet it's the perfect amount and I like the fact you don't go over board with product's which is refreshing to see and that is a talent you should feel special about :)
