I have the type of dry skin that doesn't allow makeup to last very long /: I've tried an array of primers setting sprays foundations and powders both high end and more affordable options as well you name it, I've most likely tried it! My main issue with my skin is my redness on my cheeks and nose which bothers me when my makeup wears off and it begins to show there and under my eyes where it looks flakey. By the end of the day my cheeks under eyes and nose seem to separate my makeup and make it look patchy and just dry and gross. Any suggestions of either tips or products would be a great help! (I exfoliate regularly and use good face and under eye moisturizers in case you were wondering )

I have very dry and sensitive skin to.I used to have this problem all the time, but I've finally found products and beauty regime that works for my skin.
First off, when you have dry skin it basically means your skin is constantly dehydrated, this is what can cause redness. It is always looking for moisture, and when you apply makeup it takes the moisture from the products to try and rehydrate your skin. This is why your makeup will cake or virtually disappear in certain areas.
You may need to revise your cleanser and exfoliant, as with dry skin you need to use very gentle products. Any foaming cleansers will be too harsh and take all the natural oils from your skin. Moisturiser will be your best friend, an emollient moisturiser is ideal (embryolisse is a really great option). Using a night oil, with rose hip or jojoba oil is also a really good idea.
As for makeup, always apply moisturiser first and sunscreen if you can. Allow that to dry into your skin, then apply your primer, and allow that to dry into your skin. For fountain I use Stilla- stay all day or Lancôme- teint miracle, they both work really well for me, as they disguise redness and don't cake at all. Use as little powder as possible when setting your foundation (or none at all). When applying makeup under your eyes, always apply as little product as possible! And blend it with your finger or sponge in a tapping motion, this creates a smooth application, minimising the chances of caking.
Sorry for this being soo long, I've had the same problem for years with my makeup and it is such a pain. So hopefully this helps, if anything doesn't make sense (as I wrote this on my phone) I am happy to rewrite.

I used to have this problem, but then I started using Loreal Anti-Redness bb cream. If you're really pale, this may not work for you, but if you have light-medium skin or anything darker, it should be fine 😊 It cancels out all of my redness which is a huge struggle for me and doesn't peel around my nose or smudge off throughout the day. I find that it's best applied with your fingers. I have dry skin as well (:
