So I am going to a hair show for an esthetician class field trip. My teacher said we need to look polished and professional and dress contemporary. Being a person who favors jeans and converse, this style is not going to feel comfortable to wear. So! I was thinking of pairing a cream dress with tiny pink and navy flowers on it with some navy sheer tights and then wear wth some brown boots. But I don't know if that is considered contemporary? I would like to wear an outfit I still feel like me in. Does anyone have any outfit ideas? Thanks😁

If you do wear that dress, I would suggest you wear a navy blazer over it, keep the navy tights but pair them with black, cream, or nude stilettos, the heels holding be too high, or you could wear wedges in one of those colors if you prefer.

I would ditch the tights since that color isn't very professional imo and wear a navy blazer like Thickra said
You can have brown shoes but not boots unless we're talking wedges or ankle ones. Basically no combat boots
