I have hooded eyes as well and I think it's all trial and error. What works for someone else's hooded eyes may not work for your depending on the severity of your hood so just play around with shadow placement and see what works best for you. I don't agree with not lining your bottom lash line, I add black liner to my waterline all the time and I love how it looks on me and I don't wear any liner on my top lash line because the liner takes up all of my lid space and smudges/transfers on me anyways. It's all personal preference and experimenting (:

I would skip the eyeliner and do a cut crease some mm above your natural crease. This way it looks like you have more lid-space. Also, with eyeshadows I like to blend them in a straight line towards my temple, not following your eyeshape. I don't know, its hard to explain, haha. Big lashes is also essential for me.

Curl your lashes before you apply eyeshadow,as it opens up your eyes!

I have hooded eyes and it's literally a daily struggle. Eyeliner with smokey eyes looks great. I'm also a fan of winged eyeliner. Tecnique is different though so make sure to get a tutorial for hooded eyes. I suggest using primer on all looks and setting all your eyeliner with a similar shade of eyeshadow or powder. Hope this helps!!

My eyes are slightly hooded and the best trick I've learned is to place your crease color slightly above your natural crease. But, Alexis is right. It's all trial and error. Hooded eyes come in different forms. My right eye is more hooded than my left. I suggest looking at a few of Stephanie Lange's tutorials on YouTube :)
