What's everyone charge to do makeup?

Just getting started freelancing makeup artist and I'm clueless on how much to charge.

I would say about $50 and $40 for the test before because they might rip you off.

My daughter charges $150 for wedding makeup/prom that includes lashes and she throws in a deluxe size lippie for the client to carry in her purse. If the client decides to go with her she requires a 50% of the fee to be paid in advance (that is non-refundable) and then the other 50% is due the day of the event. Her fee is goes up for location photography shoots where she is required to drive outside of the area and the same deposit rules apply. If you live in a small town you might want to be mindful of cost and research what area artists are charging so you don't price yourself out of gigs.
