Acrylic nails help!

So I want to get my nails done so badly (acrylic) but I'm worried they won't last because when I did gel nails they just fell off (the nail polish)
Would it be a good idea or a waste of money??

Wait, the gel nails just fell off or? I personally like acrylics. I've never had gel nails, though. Acrylics last me 2 1/2 to 3 weeks, well they regrow fast though which is annoying but they last overall quite a while. If you use your hands hard labor a lot, they might not be the greatest though.

The gel nail fell off a the next day after I got them done. I'm a waitress and d just do them short not too long

I like acrylics. They last a long time. I had mine on for about a month and a half one time. If the grow out bothers you though toll want to get them filled every 2 weeks.

Oh totally, I think acrylics work great. they're really stable especially if they're done short

I never tried gel nails but I like acrylic!! It lasts me about 2 1/2 or 3 weeks at the most!!

I got liquid gel nails done for years, part of that time I was bartending and I never once had one fall off, well once because I slammed it in the door but that was expected. They honestly probably weren't applied correctly.

I have liquid gel on my own nails..not tips. Are these tips? If so...I'm still shocked since liquid gel is rock hard. Did they use a powder followed by a liquid or did they use a thick, gooey clear liquid? It sounds like they weren't done correctly if it is liquid gel. Most salons repair the nail (add a tip and repolish) free of charge within the first few days.

I love acrylics. I've basically been wearing them for about 4-5 years with only about 7 months of them being off. Anyways, I usually do the color all over and I keep mine super short. They are actually my real nails and they just put an overlay of the acrylic on them. I'm actually really rough on my nails and I rarely have one break off. The gel always chips and comes off sooner so I feel like I get more out of doing the acrylics. I usually get mine done every 2-3 weeks. Everyone talks about how damaging they are but I only have that issue if I take them off myself. If I get them soaked off properly at the nail salon my real nails are actually pretty normal. Maybe a little bit weaker for about a week or so but then they are fine. If I take them off myself then they break and look awful.
