It's the beach. If you're swimming, just wear your hair up in a ponytail or braid. For makeup, maybe some waterproof mascara.

When I want my hair to look natural I usually let it air dry, add some surf spray and then I had a few loose curls with my nume curling wand, it still looks natural, but you just look like you have naturally amazing hair lol. As for makeup, your best bet is sunscreen, a little concealer if you have any thing you feel the need to conceal, mascara and eyebrows if you normally fill them in. If I was having A day where I felt like my skin looked bad, I might swipe on some powder foundation

I personally don't like my hair up, but you could always do a sock bun for a more "put together" look.

Girls act likes it's a crime to wear makeup to the beach??
I hate the whole "only wear mascara and lip balm to the beach"
I get annoyed every time I hear that.
when I go to the beach, I do go to places afterwards.
I make sure I look good 24/7. (;
there is so many girls who wear full faces to the beach (like amrezy)

My advice is: go waterproof/water resistant and do sheer layers of everything,I wouldnt do any harsh lines anywhere, just because if it melts and smudges it will be more noticeable. Makeup melts, its just a fact... And even if you do for example just waterproof mascara,it can smudge if you wet your head, dive etc.like I do,due to the fact the sea isnt just water and salt, there is some oil in it too that break waterproof makeup easyly. To each its own ofcourse, but I personely can't be bothered that much to wear full face to the beach/pool...

So I guess I would just wear a dab of concealer if you arent that confident about your skin, mascara and some natural-ish lip stain... A good way to look girly/fancy/what have you,are some cute hats, hair bows, flowers, jewelry and stuff like that.

Just like Teodora said, the beach is not like a pool. If you're mostly laying out and your swimming consists mainly of wading then go lightweight with waterproof mascara and maybe concealer. Braided hair is hassle free.
But, if you're getting your face wet then don't even bother cause you will wipe at it and scratch your eyes possibly.
If you have places to go then just apply makeup after rinsing.

I keep it simple...of course my sunscreen but I add Becca Beach Tints for cheeks/lips just to brighten up the face a lil. I don't bother with mascara. And for hair...just a loose side braid. Definitely do waterproof mascara as the other beauties suggested. Have fun. ;)

I totally agree with les I do full face also go big or go home and for hair I say just leave it down with loose curls it'll look so pretty and the water won't mess it up to much if anything it could look even cuter and @Les is your makeup waterproof by chance

I just like to wear sunscreen and chapstick and maybe I'll put on mascara. it's all up to the person and what they are comfortable with. I also just take my huge sun hat and sunglasses and I'm good to go!

I do something similar to what Shelley and Stephanie suggested... just some minor color correcting, a nice tint and some light mascara. Paired with a nice chunky side braid and a pretty hat you'll look adorable.
I tried a full face once... it was pretty torturous. No matter what you use... the combination of sweat, oils, and what ever else in the water will most likely just melt the make up off and get in your eyes. ( Salt water and make up in your eyes... Burn!!)
So if you do a full face I recommend not getting your face wet and if you plan on doing any kind of activities, I'd bring something to remove your make up with so it doesn't ruin your trip.
Have fun :)

Bella, I don't go in the water so I don't really worry about it being waterproof
I use the tarte tinted brow gel and it helps out a lot

I went to the beach today with just spf and becca beach tint in guava on lips and cheeks. I felt naked and vulnerable tbh but my pics looked pretty cute and my skin got to breathe all day for once! It was sort of liberating for me actually if that makes sense.
