I will be going with my family to see Wicked, and I don't know what I should wear to be appropriate. I know something nicer, but not super fancy. What would you suggest? Thank you so much!

When I went for my birthday, I just wore jeans and a usual top and normal makeup. I didn't wear anything especially nice or anything but that's just me.

Oh! It's wonderful. I saw it at an evening show and upscale theater and the crowd was largely dressed up, but not formal attire. Lots of skirts and dresses, but others had on jeans with scarves and cute tops dressed up with accessories. I remember the crowd being diverse, but stylish. Definitely wear something comfortable so you can enjoy it!

It's an absolutely amazing show! I loved it. I wore jeans and a nice blouse. I also think that you could wear a romper with a jean jacket or a skirt with a cute shirt

It depends on what theater your going to and what you feel people will be wearing. When I've gone I just dress casually but I've seen people in fur coats, just wear what you feel like wearing.

PLEASE DO NOT WEAR JEANS THE CAST WORKS VERY HARD AND THEATRE IS A FANCY THING!!(sorry I'm an actor so I get kinda mad when people wear jeans to the (live not movie) theatre) is definitly wear nice pants or skirt

Lea, the venue and plans before or after are often taken into consideration. I've been to some low key theatres and assure you that the cast was both appreciated and respected. The applause and interaction made them far more delighted than any attire could. :)

It really depends on the theatre you are going to. If it's in an Opera House, I would definitely go with a fancier style. When I have seen professional theatre, I normally wear sundresses.

Wicked is my favorite play of all time! I play the soundtrack in the car, it's so addicting. When I went, I went to the theatre in NYC specifically made for the play, so I thought I should dress a little nicer than usual. I had on a dark pair of jeans, leather boots and a nice sweater. I accented the outfit with some fancy jewelry and I had a full face of makeup on. The show is wonderful and you'll definitely have a great time!
