Okay, so I really don't wear a lot of make up but lately I've been wanting to try new things. make up really isnt my thing so I'm not sure what brands or brushes or best. I'm going into 10th grade and just looking for simple things.

It depends on what you're wanting exactly. Are you wanting full face makeup ( Concealer, foundation, powder, eyeshadow, liner, mascara, brows, etc) or just a couple things?

It's more about finding what works for you :) I brought a $50 foundation and found it to be horrid for my skin, so I brought a cheap BYS foundation for $6 and found that worked amazingly!
Go to a store and try the makeup! See what you like and if you're unsure, bring a friend :)

Since you're not much of a makeup person, I wouldn't go purchase a $50 foundation yet. I would try some drugstore products and see how you like applying it and if you like the finishes. Can you specify what specifically you are looking for? Mascara? Foundation? Full face? Minimal? We need to know what types of products you want us to recommend.

If I were you I would try a BB cream. They're lightweight, provide coverage, and looks natural. Get a good concealer that matches your skin tone well. As for eye make up and lip colors that's up to you and what you like/ are comfortable with. A lot of this is trying out what you like and what works for you. As for brushes, you should give ecotools a try. They're inexpensive and decent quality, you can find them at any drug store. Good luck!! ☺️

Also, @Katelyn, Dani wasn't suggesting she buy a $50 dollar foundation, she was just showing how everything with makeup is a trial and error thing and what you think may work best isn't always the case. ☺️

I don't think anyone here is suggesting a $50 foundation, but instead sharing experiences. :)
I'm inclined to agree that a BB or CC cream is an excellent starting point. Maybe a brown mascara and a bit of Milani Baked Blush or NYX creme blushes. Those are affordable ways to try easing into cosmetics. As for brushes, I wouldn't invest in any yet. I'd get some sponge wedges and dampen, then squeeze them out to use with your "foundation".

@Monet R. I am aware lol. I meant like expensive products in general. I was using it as an example.
