I feel like these posts belong in the picture places.. Are you looking for advice? Criticism?

I understand that you're doing a makeup challenge but I agree with Julie, if you're not looking for advice/criticism or aren't trying anything new for you (whether it's a technique or a product) then this should probably be in Photos.

That's the point though. I'm just starting to want to do new makeup looks. So I'm looking for critiques. I'm sorry I didn't make that clear. But please, if you have any tips let me know.

I see people posting their MOTD looks all the time and people automatically seem to just give them advice. So that's what I though would happen with my posts.

All the looks have been very similar :( if you want advice maybe take a closed eye pic and explain what you did on your eyes??

I've been doing different stuff with my eyeliner but it doesn't show up well for some reason. This one was smudged, the one before this was a blue mascara so that was definitely different. Any suggestions to make it more different? What eye shadows colors do you think would be good for me to try?

Oooh! That would look nice! I think I needed to define my eye more and that would have been the perfect way to do it.

I think the way you do your liner doesn't suit your eye shape which is why all your looks seem the same, we can't see any difference in your eyeliner. I don't wear any liner because of how hooded my eyes are and instead focus on eyeshadow placement, using dark/smokey looks, or putting all the focus on the lips.

Would you suggest I do that as well? I have smallish eyes but have always loved my eyeliner. If I'm doing it wrong though, that's not good either. I never really got into colored eyeshadow but I want to try it out more. What do you mean by placement? Is that like the charts for eyeshadow on Pinterest?

If you like your eyeliner then you can continue doing it but I would suggest winging it out that way there's liner visible. By placement I mean where you place eyeshadow so that the shades are visible and suit your eye shape. Hooded eyes are all trial and error so take the time to experiment with where you place your eyeshadows.

Thank you so much! I'll do some research and try some stuff out now that I've been pointed in a good direction.
