Face:
- I started my base with Pacifica's new Jasmine Iris Oil Control Primer, applied with my fingers. I must say, I LOVE this primer. I was put off initially because it's VERY liquid-y. Only slightly more viscous than water. But oh man does it do it's job well. This is going to sound really nuts, but I can not only feel it mattifying my skin, I can HEAR it. You'll have to try it to know what I mean haha.
- After the primer set, I applied my L'oreal Pro Matte foundation, dotted around my face with my finger, and blended it in with the beauty blender dupe by Precisso. I don't like it quite as much as the Real Techniques sponge, but I think I just like the shape of the RT sponge better.
- I applied It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye concealer with an Elf concealer brush, and patted it into the skin with my ring finger.
- Foundation and concealer set with NYX HD Finishing Powder using Eco Tools' blush brush.
- Very light contouring just under my cheekbones using NYX blush in taupe, applied with Real Techniques sculpting brush.
- Sonia Kashuk blush in sunset applied lightly with a Vasanti blush brush. I applied only the teeniest amount today, but this blush is SERIOUSLY pigmented. I was a little iffy when I purchased it, because it was the exact oranfe I was looking for but looked super shimmery in the pan. Thankfully, very little shimmer shows up on the skin!
- Highlighted my cheekbones, nose, and cupid's bow lightly with the Disco Disco Solid Gold Luminizer from The Balm Jovi palette by theBalm. Am I the only one who applies powder foundation with their fingers? I don't know why, but I like the finish more than when I use a brush.
Brows:
- I lightly outlined and filled in my brows with ABH Brow Wiz in dark brown. This is a new product for me, still getting used to it!
- I filled in a few sparse areas and generally darkened them up with the darkest shade from Bodyography's Brow Trio, using the Bodyography brush.
- I then went in with Smashbox's Brow Tech Gloss Stick, just lightly wiggling it between the hairs (not touching the skin) to give the hairs a little more definition.
Does anyone else go way darker/bolder with their brows in the winter? I don't know why, but winter is always the season of the power brow for me! Though they look way lighter in the photo for some reason.
Lips:
- I outlined my lips with Kat von D's liquid lipstick in Vampira, using the Real Techniques retractable lip brush. I HATE this lip brush, my god is it awful! I usually use a lip liner or do without, but with how dark this color is I thought I'd finally give the brush a shot. Mistake lol. So my lip line is a little shaky. If anyone has a good lip brush recommendation, let me know!
- I filled in the rest using the wand from the tube.
Eyes:
- I primed my eyes with the Wet & Wild Take on the Day primer from the Fergie collection. I love this primer so much. It's very nearly an exact dupe for the Lorac Behind The Scenes primer, just sliiightly less thick.
- I set the primer with Cream from the Lorac Pro Palette 1 using a glo Minerals base shadow brush.
- I defined the crease mixing a little Taupe and Lt Bronze from the same palette, using the Real Techniques deluxe crease brush.
- I packed Lt Bronze all over the lid up to the crease with the flat end of the brush that comes in the Naked palettes.
- With a Real Techniques crease brush, I buffed in Gold on the outer third of the lid, blending the edges with a Mac 217 brush.
- Using the smudger side of the ABH palette's brush, I placed Pewter in the outer V, and blended with the Mac 217.
- With a Luxie concealer brush, I placed Lt Bronze on the inner third of my lower lid, and Garnet on the outer two thirds. I received this brush in this month's Boxycharm. While it's two small and thick for concealer, in my opinion, it's perfect for under the eyes.
- I tightlined with Rimmel's Scandaleyes eyeliner in brown
- Mascara used today was L'oreal Telescopic carbon black
And that's all she wrote, folks!

Wow!! it's seriously impressive, the lips and eyes are balanced :D and as everyone said: "your skin is flawless" ;)
Just one thing, the concealer under your eyes looks a little bit more pale/yellowish than the rest of your face. Is that an effect of the photo or it's also noticeable in person??

Sabrina K.
Kailey you look so lovely! I Jacqueline I also got the 1920 silent movie star feel!
Nov 18, 2015
Kailey L.
@Jacqueline, ahhhh thank you so much! That's exactly what I was hoping to achieve when I got this haircut!
@Lara, no you are correct! I wear glasses that cast a shadow underneath my eyes, so I tend to wear a lighter/more brightening concealer to even it out.
@Sabrina, thank you so much!! :)
