Double wear disaster

I bought the EL double wear and I'm not really loving it. It dries out my skin and the shade she matched me seems to not blend well into my neck chin, and I'm buffing it out a lot! It also looks orange around my hairline on my forehead. Anyway I'm thinking of returning it and looking into either the IT cosmetics cc cream or Kat Von d lock it! Anyone that's used either of those what are they like?

Ahhh...my love/hate relationship with Double Wear. I have the same issues as I run dry and I'm a moisturizing mad woman. But EL does make a formula for dry skin called "Double Wear To Go". Perhaps you can do an exchange to try that out. I'd also recommend Embryolisse Lait-creme Concentrate as a primer.

If you instead want a change, I recently purchased It CC cream after initially receiving a watery batch, returned it for a new tube annnd it is awesome. Light to buildable medium coverage and very dry skin friendly. I prefer light to medium and MUFE Face and Body is my current dry gal Holy Grail.

Love Kat's line, but the Lock it was too drying for me and had to go back.
Both EL and Kat are full coverage. Both MAC and Laura Mercier have foundations targeting dry skin. Hope that helps.

I'll try looking into the to go! Ah light to medium? The description for CC said its full coverage darn 😔. Thanks for being so helpful!!

You know what, Dana, I use soooo little product that It CC may actually be buildable to full. I know many members use it such as our mod, Sabrina and Alexis C. Upon recollection, I am certain that Alexis said it provides her with full coverage..so hopefully they will see this to confirm. :)

I really enjoy the EL to go...You can ask for a sample if you have doubts. Keep us posted! The Embryolisse is really lovely as a primer for all of them. Worth peeking into if you aren't mineral oil sensitive.

I love the KVD! Such full coverage, semi matte finish and awesome staying power. Only con is the formula is really thick which I am not a huge fan of. But I would totally get a sample and try it out.

The IT cosmetics CC cream is so wonderful and Rozberry I'm so happy to hear that you got a good one this time :) Now you can jump on the IT CC band wagon ;)

Dana the IT cosmetics CC cream is a full coverage CC cream but it does not provide the same coverage as a full coverage foundation! I would compare it to a medium coverage foundation! Which is still awesome for a CC cream! It is buildable so maybe you could get it close to full coverage :)

Thank you, Sabrina! Ulta replaced the tube no problems. Yay!!
Dana, I use the color "Fair". I can do a swatch if it would help you out. My Ulta doesn't give samples. *sad trombone*

If you don't like the Double Wear then you're not going to like the Lock It Tattoo, they're very similar in my opinion.

I can definitely get a full coverage with the IT Cosmetics CC Cream! It really depends on how you're applying it what kind of coverage you'll get. I use the Real Techniques Sculpting Brush to get a light coverage and build it up if I want/need to but if I want full coverage right off the bat I use my hands or the Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush.

Here is one pump. As you can hopefully see, swiped, it is on the thick side for liquid, but this color matches perfectly when actually blended. It is very nice coverage.

Omg...I forgot to take a pic of it blended...lol Here you can see how natural the finish is and how well it blends, hopefully.
