Hey guys, so my best friend is getting married this weekend and I'm one of her bridesmaids. Our dresses are cranberry red with silver shoes and accessories. I was wondering what makeup look I should do for this event. I don't want it to be over dramatic but I still want it to look done and defined around the eyes. Also what color lip?

As for the lip, I'd do a darker nude/pink or a deep vampy.

Since your dress is a dark color I would do the eyes smoky and the bottom lashs do like a pop of cranberry :) and for the lips I think a nude or natural color would pair nice!

Oh yes, I agree with what Danielle said, you don't want to outshine the bride, make sure you at least show her what you wanna do with your makeup beforehand, just so your all on the same page and so you don't have any problems or harsh feelings afterwards, remember it's her big day 😊💗

I agree with Danielle and Thickra. While make-up needs to be styled and applied taking photography into consideration, the bride's vision should play a role in your look. Running a few ideas past her and consulting with your fellow bridesmaids avoids unnecessary drama or hurt feelings and the like.
If the bride is aiming for soft and natural, maybe pastel lips...then dramatic choices may not be a viable option.
You can't go wrong with a clean, winged liner, demi whispies, soft blush and highlights and a classic lip. You can add a pop of color in lips (I have personally done a timless blue-based red), but it is all about not clashing with the bride's style so I'd run ideas by her. She'll be grateful you were so thoughtful.
