I hope I put this in the right place. I wasn't sure if it would go here or in makeup.
I have fairly dry skin, especially in the winter of course. Is there any way to make my face appear less dry? I moisturize of course but maybe I need a better one?
Today I didn't put powder on over my foundation and I feel like that helped. I also used blush for the first time in YEARS and I'm thinking the extra color might've helped too but I'm not sure.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

I spritz my face with several products. I have 3 that I rotate. Right now I'm using Tatcha Luminous Dewey Skin Mist. I also use Skindinavia 10 years Younger Setting Spray & Nyx Dewey finish Setting Spray. I do use the setting sprays to set my makeup, but I mainly use them to hydrate my face thoroughout the day, so my skin doesn't look and feel dry. Especially in winter. I use the Tatcha one in the same way.

I can very much recommend clinique ' s moisture surge as a daytime moisturizer. I wasn't very happy with it at first as I have dry combination skin and I found it actually a bit too moisturizing, so my skin looked a bit oily, but now that it's proper winter and especially my cheeks get quite dry, it works beautifully, my skin feels nicely moisturized all day.
For makeup, I don't use powder at the moment, just a setting spray as I don't like the dry look of powder. also I find that a bit of highlighter on my cheekbones helps to brighten up the face. I haven't properly tried it myself as it seems to be sold out all the time but mac strobe cream is another product that could help to make your face appear less dry. Good luck! :)

Thanks everyone! I never thought about sprays but I've never used one.
Currently I use Biore charcoal bar as a face wash, Ponds Dry Skin Cream at morning and night, and Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation. Ponds is okay - I can hardly use it without being super oily and I have to put like half the bottle of the foundation on each time to actually like how it looks

The dryness is most likely caused by the Bar Soap.
Bar Soaps are really harsh for both oily and dry skin. They suck out all the moisture! It has to do with the ingredients used to keep it in a bar form.
I would recommend in getting a normal cleanser or two. ( I rotate depending on my skins condition. ) I like CeraVe for moisture (the cleansers are also really nice ).
I have both the lotion and the cream for really dry days.
