So I have combination skin. It's more oily in the summer and dry in the winter. But never overly so of either. I used to have acne, never bad but here and there now that's basically gone. But I noticed I have these small skin colored bumps. Mostly on the tops of my cheeks and around my temples. A little bit on my forehead. They are probably no bigger then a pencil point and skin colored and I can't see them when I'm not wearing makeup, makeup seems to highlight it. But I can feel them. And they are more noticeable in direct sunlight when my head is tilted a certain way. Anyway sorry for the long description but what type of exfoliator would be good? Is that what I need? Or other products that would help.

Okay I kind of have what you have. I have to switch between products a lot. But I have those bumps on those places too. The cheek ones I leave alone because they hurt too much when I try to get them. I think what you should do depending on the weather it buy some oil blotting sheets. Even in the winter it helps a lot. Drink plenty of water and get enough sleep. The ones on your cheek may go away I'm not sure. They haven't for me.

Thank you Sarah! I have been trying to drink more water so I will keep it up. And I have oil blotting sheets I just never use them lol I will try and see if that helps. Thank you for your suggestions!

I thought this could come in handy, I honestly think there's more to acne than appearance

I don't agree with hailey. Chemical exfoliant or peels and a pain in the butt, if you have to the use it but I don't recommend it

I've heard things about Paula's Choice but I just hate ordering online :( my apartments mail sucks everything is always getting lost. Ugh. Is there anything similar? I've tried some of Mario badescu toners but they just irritate my skin I don't know maybe alcohol or something in her products doesn't agree with me?

Mario badescu has alcohol free toners and they have chemical exfoliant a too like the glycolic acid foaming cleanser / AHA is a very gently exfoliant - it's not a rough bead or anything abrasive - it works by penetrating deep below the surface of skin to remove dead skin cells and that's how it exfoliates - so it shouldn't irritate the skin at all - glycolic acid is an AHA so you can look for products with that active ingredient
