So a while my hair has been needing trim and my aunt who cuts my hair for free isn't available and I have no money because poor life decisions. I can trim my bangs on my own but I'm not sure if I should trim my hair on my own.

You can get someone else you know to trim it, maybe parents or a friend?

If you have hair scissors than sure. If you plan on using cheap non hair scissors, then wait.

I agree with Alyx, as long as you are using sharp hair scissors you should be fine. Just trim a tiny bit at a time to ensure you don't make mistakes.
