I use a lot of different hair products, including dry shampoo. Sometimes I'll go four or five days without washing my hair. I'm looking for a good clarifying shampoo or anything that will deep clean my hair. something preferably inexpensive, like I said in the title I don't mind if it diy. Thank you all in advance :)

I have found that the ogx awapuhi shampoo is clarifying almost as well as the Paul Mitchell original awapuhi shampoo - what I like about awapuhi is that it doesn't dry out my scalp like normal clarifying shampoos tend to do - it gets all the gunk out of my 3-4 days between washes so I like it - also you can buy the Paul Mitchell awapuhi at drugstore.com for very cheap.

I really like Neutrogena's Anti-Residue shampoo for clarifying. It does contain sulfates, so that may be a con for you but for my uses its acceptable. I use it once a week or every other week depending on which hair styling products I'm using but more than once a week will dry my hair out.

I think it's around 7 dollars at Walgreens or CVS. It is a bit expensive for the amount you get but I don't mind it since I only use it 4 times a month.

I just use dish liquid I have tried a lot of name brand clarifying shampoos but dish liquids work the best in my opinion

I'm worried about dish liquids because my hair is color treated.

My hair is also colour treated it's a Burgundy purpleish color and it didn't hurt mine oh and Mia I'd love to know how you trained your hair so you can go for 4 or 5 days without washing it.

I only wash mine once a week Niki. just start by washing it once every two days and then once every three and so on. Dry shampoo will he your best friend for a while. I apply it before bed so that it can suck up and prevent any oil during the night.

Honestly I've tried different dry shampoos and the two that work the best for me are Batiste and the Reviving Dry shampoo from dove.
