What is a good bookbag or handbag to get for college?

I use leather tote/shopper bags from H&M or F21 and Herschel has great backpacks from urban outfitters. It all depends on what you'll be carrying. My first year I mainly had my computer (Mac book air) and a notebook, so I always just through it in my purse.

I have a black vans backpack with roses on it and I would say a backpack is best for your first year just until you're used to carry books around and stuff like that.

I personally prefer handbags (those shopper ones) because I can always reach inside for getting keys or water or my phone etc. When wearing a backpack you always have to stop walking and get it off your back to take things out.
As much as I like cool hipstet backpacks. Nothing will ever keep me from carrying my loved handbags :)
