So it's been really warm here and I have a job interview tomorrow, could I get away with a sleeveless dress (knee length, black and high neckline) or do you think I should wear something over it (Sadly I don't have a blazer at the moment so it would be a cardigan)?
It's for a healthcare job so I'm not sure. I work in the same job (different location) now and would happily wear the dress to work as it is very much an "office appropriate" dress but I'm not sure if I could for an interview?
Any suggestions ladies? Or any advice on hair, makeup or other outfit ideas would be very much appreciated!

Do you have a picture? And I would NEVER Recommend going sleeveless for an interview. Maybe once you get the job. But I'd wear a cardigan!

I agree with Julie to wear the cardigan.
Keep the makeup simple and natural.
Hair curled/straightened (whichever you prefer) or in a sleek bun/ponytail.

Thanks ladies, it's just been so damn hot! I was hoping I might be able to get away with it, especially as healthcare places tend to be really warm too!

With a blazer over it you would look great. If you want to go sleeveless I would wear a blouse and dress pants with high heels and jewelry.

You can always leave the cardigan off until you get there, then put it on in the parking lot before you go in. That's what I do when it is blazing hot.

Thank you for the advice. I'm going to see how it is in the morning, I've acquired another dress (similar style but khaki green with 3/4 length sleeves) that I'm thinking about wearing instead as I've just checked the weather and I think it's meant to cool down a bit (Thank God!) I don't want to be all sweaty for the interview, I really want this job! :P.

I don't see an issue with going sleeveless for an interview, I wore a sleeveless dress for my nursing interview and it was totally fine. As long as you look neat, tidy and professional, that's the main thing. I have worn cardigans to interviews a lot in the past too, I think they look neat and tidy! Best of luck!

Oh, and when I went for my nursing interview I wore my hair up, nails not painted and short, very minimal makeup. I know from experience that for any kind of healthcare job it's best to dress very "clean" and tidy - it helps the interviewers picture you in the role you're applying for! I hope this helps! X.

Do you have a plain t-shirt you could put under the dress? Maybe one with a collar
