Hey dolls,

Have you tried any oils for your face as a moisturiser?
I am stuck with a few:

Jojoba oil
Sweet almond oil
Grape Seed oil
Rosehip oil

What are the difference with these oils? Has any caused breakouts? Do they clog pores?

Thank you!

I use oils all the time..often mixing them. Coconut and sweet almond make a great organic/brown sugar body scrub, Sweet Almond soothes my face and absorbs quickly, Rosehip and Primrose help keep my complexion dewy and skin plump while sleeping..Coconut is also a great hair mask. I use Argan or Apricot to soothe drizzle with a pinch on my fingertips to add a hint of shine...on and on. Jojoba and primrose are great non fragrant oils for acne - prone skin that is sensitive. Perfect for smoothing skin after a shower while skin is damp.

There's a great article about oils here: This might help.

I always use olive oil to remove my makeup and to hydrate my face before bedtime and it works great for me

I use jojoba oil as a moisturizer at night. I love it. I have very oily skin and it does wonders. I highly recommend looking it up.

Wheat germ oil works wonders on scars and blemishes.

When my skin is super dry I use Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil. It is absorbed quickly, leaves a nice shine (vitamin C) and does not clog pores.

So far I only have experience with jojoba oil and coconut oil. I love jojoba oil on my face it really helps to keep it moisturized and coconut oil is alright I just was using it for my hair.

I have very dry very sensitive skin, and this week I went and bought jojoba and sweet almond oil.
I've been using them for about 3 days now, and I already notice a difference. My skin is super hydrated, I had some breakouts a couple days before I got the oils, but they've pretty much healed already. I use one pump of jojoba, and two drops of sweet almond oil. If you have dark circles or scarring I'd use the sweet almond oil mainly there at first.
I also used tartes maracuja oil, and it wasn't moisturizing enough for me. I will use it still as midday moisturizing at home but it's not comparable to how moisturizing jojoba is.
I'd be careful with coconut oil, since it's likely to clog pores, it never broke me out but it didn't do anything good.
I do feel like I'm starting to purge a little on my forehead, which is good since it was very congested. But I'm not breaking out at all anywhere else.

Right now, I'm using a Aloe/Avocado soap with olive oil and shea. I also use either rosehip seed oil or Bio oil and a vitamin C serum as part of my nightly routine.
