I love to start out with wavy hair because it's just more fun and easier to work with than curly hair. If your hair isn't naturally wavy, you can do two French braids when your hair is damp and in the morning take them out. I then like to add volume by applying dry shampoo and hairspray! For texture, you can apply a little bit of dry oil to the ends of your hair. After you have your base, this of some cool ways to style your hair. I personally hate having my hair up so I always do half ups and half downs. One way to do that would be to just take a clip and pin it normally up in a half up half down hairstyle. If you really like braids, you can do a braided headband or braid hair from both sides and pin it in the back. Sometimes if I'm lazy, I just twirl the front pieces back! Lots of people put their hair in a half up half down bun, but I'm not a huge fan. Just explore a bit and find what works for you! (:
