Might be a dumb question...

I got these freckle like brown spots after a bad sunburn. Anyone have these before? I'll obviously consult a doctor if they change size or color... But I don't think it's that serious yet. I've never had freckles there so I doubt it's freckles becoming exposed. It's just on my chest area.

You get freckles from sun exposure so they probably became more prominent after your sunburn went away

Those are sun spots. SPF helps prevent them along with Antioxidant serums. I'd personally would consult a derm just as a preventive check up as a minor spot can be more than just that.

Sounds good thanks kitty!! I didn't think they were freckles only because I've never seen them before after years of sun exposure?! But thanks girls!!

Freckles and sun spots are one in the same. There is no harm in getting them checked by a dermatologist. Sun block rather than sun screen helps prevent these. This happens when you get sun exposure, also called sun damage, and releases melanin. Melanin gives skin, as well as hair and eyes, their color. That makes it responsible for the darkness in the skin, or freckles.
