Makeup won't stay on nose.

I can't seem to be able to keep makeup on my nose. It becomes shiny and oily very soon after I put it on despite using primer (smashbox) and powder (Mac). I typically use maybelline dream bb cream. Would blotting paper help, or is there anything else?

Try using a different primer. Using blotting paper should help.

I would try Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Coverage foundation. And although I do not like this foundation all over my face because I find it kinda masky looking. I love it for the nose, and the small cheek areas on the sides of the nose. Regular foundation tends to wear off or gets cakey in these areas because of more oil production. At least thats what I've experienced. This foundation is high coverage and you only need a tiny bit to cover. It has a good slip and is more like a concealer but with incredible staying power.

I've had the same problem, what worked for me was a mixture of products.
First I make sure to moisturize, even though my skin is combination a moisturizer acts like a carrier against your skin. Also try a primer that works well for oily skin or large pores. Use a matte foundation (bb cream tends to be too moisturizing) & then set with a setting powder. I also like to carry around urban decay's setting sprays. Perfect for on the go, just spray & it instantly dries oily skin & makes sure your makeup stays. Good luck! :)

What is your cleansing routine? If you don't already, I would suggest using a scrub brush on your nose with whatever facial cleanser you're using. Really make sure it's clean and not overly oily so your makeup won't keep sliding off. Also, how are you applying your makeup? You might be putting too much on - try doing just a very little at a time and building it up if you need more coverage. Good luck!
