Hey, I'm really wanting my eyelashes to grow longer. What's the best serum out there that I can get in Canada? I know I've heard people mention Latisse before and I was wondering how you would get that, through a dermatologist? Eye doctor?

Latisse is the only thing that will work and it has to be prescribed to you by a dermatologist. Do not take any hair growth pills like biotin. If you take them without having a deficiency it is very bad for your health.

^ agreed with Merna.
an eye doctor isnt going to give you anything for your lashes. they focus on the health of your actual eyes, not the lashes.
make an appointment with a dermatologist (skin doctor) & they will most likely give you a prescription for Latisse.

The thought that Latisse is the only product that grows lashes is a common misconception. I've seen it much too often on beautylish, as a result of people passing on information they hear without ensuring it is correct. Latisse is not the only product out there that grows your lashes, it is simply the only one where doctors can make money off of you. The leading active ingredient used in Latisse is bimatoprost (marketed as lumigan). This ingredient as well as different strains of this chemical has also been taken on by companies for products such as revitalash, age intervention eyelash conditioner (more expensive and not available in the us) Jo Mouselli lash and brow serum, you can even use a bimatoprost gel from your doctor. Bimatoprost used around the area will have side effects though so I encourage you to look into those before turning to a topical treatment. Aside from that you should keep your lashes healthy and moisturized. Your lashes naturally take care of themselves but that does not account for the awful amounts of mascara we pile on them. Try and go without mascara whenever possible, if you get home from school and are not doing anything for the rest of the day remove it and give your lashes some breathing space. If that isn't enough, avoid waterproof mascara when not needed, it's much more drying than regular mascara. Remove your mascara every night but be sure to do so gently. A lint free cotton pad soaked in coconut or olive oil will do the job, simply hold it in top of the closed eye for a few seconds to break down the eye makeup and then lightly rub.
