Eyelash Extensions Tips?

What's the best way to remove mascara from eyelash extensions? And any other tips in taking care of them? I'm all eyes and ears aha.

You should avoid using extreme amounts of mascara in general. Also he sure any mascara you use on them is oil free, oil is what disbonds the glue. If you must use mascara on them I recommend the Xtreme lash length and volume mascara because it's formulated especially for extensions. They've also got an amazing eye makeup remover, but keep in mind any makeup remover you use should also be oil free. Also be wary of the fact that constantly using mascara and eyeliner on your extensions will shorten their life.

I wull definitely look into that mascara but for now I have to work with what I have. Do you think a Maybelline mascara will ruin the eyelashes? I will not clump up my lashes, just add a bit for volume to the tips of the eyelashes

Clumping does not matter it is about the oil. Eyelash glue is made to be waterproof but come off with oils to avoid any tugging when removing your lashes. I'm not sure about baby shampoo but I personally wouldn't apply anything that lathers! Try a quick google search to look up some drug store remover ac.

Baby shampoo, water and a little bit of baking soda work wonderfully to remove mascara and clean your lash extensions. Brittany is there a reason you say not to use anything that lathers? Every lash group I'm part of suggests buying foam pumps for that home mixture for lash shampoo. I sell my clients the image Ormedic cleanser which many people in the industry recommend as well. It's an amazing facial cleanser as well. I suggest against using mascara as well but make sure it's definitely not waterproof, and you're applying it only on the tips as well as thoroughly cleansing the area after each use. Also make sure your lashes are dry before going to bed.

I used to try using a foam pump like everyone recommends but I found it only made my eye area dry and itchy so I was constantly rubbing them, tugging on my lashes. I also found foaming cleansers make the skin tight and taut and I know a few of my clients have no luck with that either, I like the Jo Mouselli (Xtreme lash) face and eye makeup remover because it's a spray, and I spray it onto a sponge. It absorbs great and since it's so liquidy it really helps avoid using any excess product
