I want to have clear skin. I'm sick of make up. Its my passion don't get me wrong but I'm sick of the foundation. Always needjng it! I have a trip in april. A trip with my group and I will be staying with other women in a hotel.. I do NOT want them to see me putting on butt loads of make up! I do not want to have to take up our shared bathrrom for an hour! I'm on some antibiotics amd 2 topical creams. Yea its helped but not a whole lot. I go back to the derm in December. Should I ask for accutane? Would my skin be clear by mid April? How is accutane?

I think you'd have better luck asking the derm that definitely!

I agree. Your dermatologist will be able to direct you towards what's right for your skin. I've never taken it, but from what I've heard, Accutane is a last resort drug. Your doctor might want you to try something else. I really hope you find the right treatment. Best of luck :)

Definitely go to your dermatologist, it takes a couple of months to get on Accutane because they have to put you on birth control and do blood test, so its definitely a process. Just curious though as to what your current skin routine is (and if you wear makeup everyday)? And what have you tried for your acne so far?

Like Michelle mentioned, its usually a last resort so thats why I asked what you have done so far?

A dermatologist would know best. I do you people who have had success using accutane, but it is a pretty intense treatment and it often makes your skin worse before it gets better. I have heard that the first six months being on it is not too fun. Good luck! I know acne can be so hard to deal with.
