Keeping them moisterized is key. Burt's bees has a great cuticle rub, putting vaseline under your nails at bed time is another good thing. A gel nail top coat by Perfect Formula is awesome! I started using it about 9 months ago and it has really fixed my real nails from years of fake nails. hope that helps too : )

Also you before you go to bed you can cover your hands with warm olive oil in latex gloves during the night if you don't mind sleeping in them. It's pretty helpful for nails and skin.

Olive oil is excellent. Definitely do that.
Another thing I found while in your predicament is something called Orly Nail Repair Kit. It comes in a small box at Sally's. Some people like to do the treatment over the top of their nails, but I find if I put it UNDER instead, it keeps them VERY strong, and they look totally natural - bc they are! Putting it underneath is kinda tricky, but it's reinforcing and totally worth it. (It's nail glue with a repairing powder. If you go to Sally's and ask about it, I'm sure you'll find it no problem. 😊)
Good luck!
