I don't think you need to wait, you have to start somewhere anyways and the septum will look awesome, also when you get the short hair! =) will you keep your other nose piercing too or take that one out when you get septum?

No don't take it out leave it in, I have my septum done and when I got it I took my nostril out now I miss it like crazy :(

I have my septum pierced twice and my nostril pierced on both sides and I love it! I usually wear really small rings in my septum and small studs in my nostrils so my face doesn't get too overwhelmed with metal lol.
