I have dyed black hair.. And I wanba change it to a lighter color. Should I do a color stripper before bleaching? Help!

I have really dark hair and everyone says I'd have to bleach it before, you should see your hair lady to get an opinion:)

Strip it first and then bleach if you need too, the stripper is good cause its a lot better for your hair than bleach, plus you might not actually need to bleach it after you strip depending on what shade it turns out and what your colouring it with =]
