I just wanted to know if anyone had tried witch hazel as a toner and what results they saw. I just bought some and all I know is that it kind of smells...

And besides...what is a toner for in the first place?

I use mine to clean my face in the morning, because its not too Powerful, your skin doesn't feel the need to produce more oil throughout the day. Its really helped with breakouts and making my skin soft. I don't exactly know what a toner is, but I know this stuff is amazing c:

Toners help to rebalance the Ph of your skin after washing. Water isn't Ph balanced to your skin which can leave your skin feeling tight and dry. In some cases skin will produce more oil to overcompensate for the dryness that leaving water residue on the surface can create. I personally love witch hazel Toners. The brand I use is Thayers. The price is very reasonable and you get lots for the price you pay.

I have been using the Dickinson's witch hazel for over 6 months and it has dramatically helped my skin. I use it after washing my face at night to freshen up and remove any residue/makeup that my cleanser might've missed. It contains 14% alcohol so I don't know how drying it would be to use it twice a day, like every day. It has never bothered my skin and I have sensitive skin. Also, it's reduced my pore size and you can't beat a natural product! My grandmother swears by it and her skin is amazing for her late 70s. Try it, it's not expensive!
