I've decided on getting my hips pierced. I'd say I'm great with care & cleaning, but I do have one concern. I'm a fitness junkie. Would my core workouts interfere with the healing process of this piercing at all?

I have my back dimples pierced with dermals. I too an such a fitness freak! When you get the piercing they will tell you to wash then once you get home, and then cover with a waterproof bandaid. After three days you remove the bandaid and was your piercing every day for 2 months, always sleeping with a waterproof bandaid on. Since I workout and obviously sweat, I washed my dermals in the morning, then put the bandaid on so no perspiration or bacteria got into the piercing. And just to be safe I washed them again when I showered. Pretty much as long as you keep them covered and you're good with aftercare you should be fine! Dermals are medium maintenance piercing anyways, which means no matter what they need to be washed at least once a day.. Hope this helped! I'm interning for a job in a shop so I'm sorry of I have too much info!
