I have bad acne any suggestions on how to clear it up?

First of all, try not to wear any concealer or foundation, or any make up at all. Also, every morning and every night you should wash your face with face soap, when youre home try to wash your face more often. I use clinique face wash, but you could try others like proactive. :)

Have you tried cutting out dairy? The hormones they give the cows tend to flare acne.

Maybe try visiting a dermatologist if you can, also try to touch your face as little as possible or only with clean hands. Also if you notice you get oily around 2 you could try using a bar soap on the breakout areas to get rid of excess oil when you wash your face, it worked a little for me! I really hope this helped, but we've all been there so don't stress over it!! :):):)

Water is the KEY! I know it seems like a lot, but eight to ten glasses a day is the required amount. :)

Don't over exfoliate because that could irritate your skin even more... Whatever cleansing treatment you decide to use, it will always take time to heal... Remember. Talk to your doctor, mine gave me prescription benzoyl wash and rentin-A.

This summer I found out I had celiacs, and while cutting the gluten I was told to also cut the dairy, since most celiacs are intolerant to dairy as well. All through high school I had terrible skin. I even went on Acutane, and had laser treatments. All to no real avail! Once I changed my diet my skin got so much better. I almost didnt believe it. After slowly reintroducing the diary, it's become pretty gross again. So, back off the dairy for me! I hope you find some answers!

Also, try to use gentle, non foaming cleansers. I know it seems like the stronger "acne" Meds may be what you need, but for me they really exacerbated my oily skin by stripping my natural oils away, and that causes you skin to go into overdrive to make more oil. Use gentle soaps, like milk cleansers and cetaphil lotion. You can use like a lytic lotion from epionce (that's what I use) before your night lotion. It helps open the pores, and the lotion helps to keep your skin from drying out.

Katie P is completely right, I had awful acne and ended up going on Acutane and trying a ton of different creams, but what as soon as I stopped drinking dairy milk and switched to almond milk my skin immediately improved. As well as after I stopped eating red meats it improved even further!

There are multiple make up stores like Ulta and Sephora that have oil pads, it's like a wipe but it takes the oil out! Helps ALOT! Look into it! It will be worth it!

I have struggled with acne for 8 years. In now way does wearing makeup cause your acne to be worse, unless you leave it on for 12+ hours or go to sleep in it. If you have dry skin, choose a hydrating foundation. If you have oily skin, chose a oil free foundation. Same goes for concealers. As for cutting out dairy products, no. It doesn't matter what you eat, or don't for that matter, you'll still have acne. Junk food does not cause acne or make it worse. To combat acne, wash your face twice a day. Morning and night. Don't over wash you face because that makes acne worse because it will try to produce more oils to hydrate your skin that are constantly being washed of. Your skin has natural oils that it needs, so don't over wash those off. Cleanse with a gentle cleanser with a high concentrate of salicylic acid. Then apply a cream/gel after with a high concentrate of benzoyl peroxide. Exfoliate once a week. Don't over exfoliate, it will cause excessive irritation. If there is a spot you want to be rid of quick, apply toothpaste or a spot treatment with a even higher benzoyl peroxide concentrate. The best products I've ever tried are Obagi and ProActive. I have tried Rentin-A but since I go to school and work, I couldn't deal with the peeling it caused. I used to get lazer treatments and I saw an improvement, but you can get the same results through a daily cleansing routine. ALSO, be sure to change your pillow cases regularly and wipe off you phone screen regularly as these things tend to collect bacteria from your face and cause acne to be constant. I hope this helped and if you have any other questions or concerns, do some research on the Internet or talk to a dermatologist, they will know what's best for your skin-type and what to use to treat it.

1) see a dermatologist for prescribed medicine 2) get monthly facials 3) natural remedies (tree tea oil, primrose oil, lemon juice) 4) take vitamins (mineral zinc, vitamin A) 5) lower salt and sugar intake 6) ingest tons of water and lots of greens 7) use free-oil sunscreens

You can get a chemical peel. Yes it seems scary but it REALLY does work. It does stung when your getting the 3 stages but it's better than having it the rest of your life. Good luck!(:
