...did you find that it really helped? I'm already very fair skinned, but I have a bit of hyperpigmentation left over from old acne. I've been using a Clarisonic twice daily and PTR 10% glycolic gel for over a year now with absolutely phenomenal results. However, I still have some uneven tone that bugs me. Tonight I've tried a lemon juice and baking soda mask; this is only the second time I've tried it. Have any of you guys and gals seen results from this?

I use it from time to time but not enough to say it really works for me.. but I read it does and it's great for your skin to clear up blemishes and blackheads and exfoliate and uneven skin tone.. So definitely give it a try some more! And yes just lemon juice on a cotton pad and work it in a circular motion all over but not your eyes lol also you can add a few sprinkles of sugar to exfoliate at the same time sorry forgot to mention.. But before you do wet your face with warm water to open up the pores and when your done with the lemon treatment then rinse with cool water to close the pores..

What about hydroquinone?

Hydroquinone is illegal in Japan, because it has potential cancer-causing agents. It is legal here, but I personally would not risk it. I see it as a sort of a risky, easy way out. Non-hydroquinone ingredients that are a safe and effective substitute for brightening, lightening and treating hyper pigmentation besides Vitamin C products, are: Kojic Acid, Mulberry, Licorice Root, Bearberry, and Azaleic Acid.
