I'd imagine it leaves a film over your face that doesn't help to "set" makeup. Make up PLUS hairspray is a recipe for clogged pores? :/

I do it all the time and I have super clear smooth skin and flawless make up that lasts all day :) maybe I'm just lucky. I've been doing it for a few years and its always worked. Don't see the point in wasting money on setting spray when I can get a whole tin of hairspray for 99p that works better x

This is an old pageant/drag queen makeup trick. It's been around for a while. The reason pageant girls and drag queens do this is because they have tons and tons of STAGE MAKEUP on that needs to last hourssas. I have competed in pageants for years, that amount of makeup is ridiculous. Using hairspray as a "setting spray" should only be used once a month/ on a special occasion. Their are awful ingredients used in hairspray that are not meant for your face; therefore, you shouldn't put it on your face. Try the Urban Decay sprays that make your makeup stay. There good products and they're not risky to use. Ditch the dangerous hairspray method or just reserve it for special occasions.

I have a question. If I dilute the hairspray, will it is still work? In the Philippines, we still have old school hairsprays that come in spritzers. :)
