Has anyone tried hairspray over their makeup to set it? I'm trying it today and like it :)

Never heard of spraying hairspray on your face?? I'm thinking that can't be good for your skin. Doesn't it make your eyelashes sticky and stiff?

Latavia I heard about this a long time ago. I've done it a few times (:

It's not good for your skin at all and it does nothing for makeup.

I've been guilty of doing it but it just makes your face sticky and I haven't really noticed it helping my makeup.

I do it all the time! well anytime on a night out actually. it works! my makeup actually lasts all night without smearing eyeshadow liner mascara or anything. and once the hairspray dries it doesn't leave your face sticky you can't even feel it.

@Audrea I'm sorry, but how did what turn out?

So far I like the hairspray technique! The stiffness leaves after a bit and my makeup today looks glorious! I would be concerned if I was directly spraying the hairspray on my bare skin, but it's over makeup so I think it'll be ok for my skin! You guys should try it!

How do you keep the hairspray from getting in your eyes? "It would sting."

The setting sprays you but from bridal stores and urban decay are an upgraded version of hairspray.
It's an old school technique but its there for a reason.
The one from urban decay is really popular they've even expanded it to include versions for oil control and hydration. I've only ever used the original but I'm sure the others work as well.
I'm sure it won't be to long before we see others brands pop up with them.

It was aqua net for pageant's but it's a face risk it may work for some but some get a reaction red skin and some just break out.

I used to do it all the time and now only occasionally (if I'm going on a night out or something) it works and I've never had any problems with it =]

For the record, the ingredients in Urban Decay's setting sprays ARE NOT the same as what's in hairspray. At. All.
