Why Is My Polish Doing This?!

I need some assistance. I am a huge fan of Essie polish. I always put a clear coat first, color and then clear again. Lately it seems like my nails are bubbling up. I have never had this problem before. Any suggestions, tips or tricks? This is getting obnoxious and it's not one particular color.

Have you got a pic? Not sure what you mean.

I had this happen with my essie nail polish that I recently got and I apply it the same way. they may have changed the formula they use to make it.

Sorry no pic. I just removed it and went with a Revlon color I had in my desk. Maybe I can explain better...I paint with a clear base coat and my nails are nice and smooth. When I put the color polish on top of the base, it goes on smooth, but by the time it's near done drying, these little bubble like bumps appear. I just don't get it. I have always done a pretty good job on my own nails and Essie isn't cheap. I thought it was my base coat until I swapped it out 4 times. Ai ai ai

If you shake the bottle it could be air bubbles. try waiting a little before painting your nails.

If you mean those annoying little bubbles, it usually happens to me w/Essie when I don't let the nail polish dry completely between coats...

That's what they are - air bubbles..

Don't shake the polish, roll it back and forth in your hands. Shaking creates more bubbles.

It happens because the polish wasnt dry enough before you applied the second coat.

It also helps to circle the brush around inside the bottle a few time. This helps to get the bubbles out of your brush.

I definitely don't shake. I learned that trick a while back. I guess a little more patience between coats it's my solution! Thanks ladies!

I think it can happen when you use lots of strokes too.
