I bought an AcneSolutions kit at Walmart for about 18 dollars and it worked wonders for my skin!

It's not really decently priced if you're not looking to spend much but I recently got a Clarisonic skin cleansing brush and my skin is almost completely acne free. I have some spots now but its that time of the month. But I've noticed a huge difference already. Olay makes a cheaper alternative called the Pro-X I believe, but I can't speak for it. I imagine it would at least be worth a try. But the first chance you can get a Clarisonic I would get it. Before I started with the Clarisonic though I started moisturizing with maracuja oil and it helped my acne. Didn't make it go away completely but it did lessen it. You can use any kind of oil though, like coconut, olive, or argan. Just make sure its all natural. Amazon has a lot of various brands that are very reasonably priced. I wouldn't recommend using anything that overdries your skin, in my experience a lot of acne is triggered because your skin produces a lot of oil because its dehydrated. So I've found keeping oily/acne prone skin hydrated as much as possible really helps, at least in my case. Obviously use a spot treatment where you need it though.
I also really love just about any product from Philosophy. They have an acne line but I love the Purity cleanser instead of the acne one. The Purity one is very gentle and non-irritating. I've found acne cleansers aren't on the skin long enough to do much, it basically gets washed down the drain and can be drying while not doing anything. And if you don't exfoliate already start a few times a week. It will help remove any dirt, oil and dead skin cells that may be contributing to breakouts. If you try any of these I hope some of them work. I know how it feels to try all kinds of things and nothing works. It sucks!! So I hope at least one of these does something.

Use Rodan and fields unblemish, it's made by the dr of proactive but for some reason proactive burnt my skin, unblemish is a 4 step system, pricey at first but is probably the best thing I've spent money on.

It's kinda unexpected, but try the supplement Evening Primrose Oil. My friend had problem skin she could not get under control until she started taking this. I've seen it sold at drugstores like CVS. Of course, consult your Dr. before taking and make sure it doesn't conflict with other Rx's you take... Also, give Dr. Bronner's cleanser a try. I use it and my skin is so smooth and clear. I can't recommend it enough!

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! I was covered in acne for the longest time and then I started using Spectro Jel Deep Pore Vanishing Lotion (5% benzoyl perox. $5 at Walmart) and it did get rid of my acne but made me face a little dry, but paired with the cleanser and lotion ($11 and $8) from that line (blemish prone) it worked wonders. I use the deep pore vanishing lotion now once every week or so, or when I get a random zit, and I only use cold water (no soap) in the a.m. and wash with the cleanser at night. I follow up with the lotion from that line and then pure macademia oil. My acne is gone now. (:

I also noticed people saying proactive. I believe the active ingredient is Salicylic Acid? Find out whether Salicylic acid or Benzoyl Peroxide works best for you and go from there. Personally S.A did nothing, and proactive was useless for me and it was very expensive to keep repurchasing :/

I agree with Natalie some ppl react better to salicylic acid and others better to benzoyl peroxide...I react better to BP and when my acne was getting out of control I went to see my doctor and she was wonderful and prescribed Epiduo which has the main ingredient of BP...which I found out later on...but anyway it saved my skin...if your really serious I'd say look into it and don't be afraid to spend a little more on your skin...you can go on their website and there are cards to get a discount and well I've had My tube for almost a yr and I'm glad I invested in it...I went through and acne stage in my life too...be strong. Also you must know that your skin will go through a purging stage where it WILL look like your skin os getting worse but I'm telling you hold on and be strong because for me, it was four months to five months when I saw a dramatic change! they have an app too which allows you to see your progress by taking a picture everyday and you can really see the change...my skin is not restored and I get an occasional pimple here and there but this was my miracle product I thank God for my Dr. prescribing it to me...please ask me any questions on my profile if you want to know more. hope I helped hun<3.

I have a question.. do you put the acne treatment on first then the moisturizer?

Clarasonic Mia 2 is expensive but it worked wonders for my skin! It got rid of all the pimples and blackheads for me (except for 2 spots) in 3 days!! But it's definitely not cheap I think mine was like 150?...

I've been using Mario Badescu Acne Cleanser, Neutogena Alcohol free Toner, Yes To Carrots Night cream (only at night), and Clinique Spot Gel on blemishes.
I tried the 3 Step Acne Solutions and it made my skin even worse, until I found out that over drying your skin can lead to acne as well so I switched to an alcohol free toner and water based night cream, and this has been helping my face so much!

@ Joyce T the moisturizer goes on first, let it settle into your skin for about 5 min, then apply the acne treatment. There‘s no sense in applying a treatment (especially like spot treatments which are specific to the area) then muching it up by smearing moisturizer all over :P.
