Since I know of none around me I need help from all you makeup artists!! If willing to give some time please answer the following questions. Thanks you!!
1.) Why did you choose this career?
2.) Do you regret this career in todays economy? Why or why not?
3.) What is your favorite thing about Being a makeup artist? What is your least?
4.) What school did you attend and for how long have you been a makeup artist?
5.) What is your advice to a makeup artist to be, that perhaps no one told you?
6.) Name, age and where your from country or state?

1) I got a prospectus in the post for a local college when I finished school. had no real intention of attending, but had a look through anyway. I came across a makeup course and fell in love immediately! just had a sudden realisation of "actually, I play with makeup all the time, this looks like something I could really actually do!" completed the course and never looked back!
2) I don't regret it, but its sure as hell hard! photographers and models often just assume you'll work on a tf* basis, so I have an evening job to have a constant income.
3) I love all the new people I've met, all the characters I can create, & when I get positive reactions from my work...great feeling! :)...my least... I've met some right difficult people. some people will just never be happy and expect unrealistic outcomes!
4) I attended Stroud College and did VTCT Level 3 theatrical & media makeup artistry. not a specialist college or anything, but the tutor was lovely and I had some brilliant experiences! it was a 1 year course. I've been a working artist for 3 years.
5) don't let people walk all over you, and don't be afraid to charge people!...nobody ever taught me about having a contract! definitely make a contract for your clients!
6) Rebekah Deponeo, 19, Gloucestershire, UK.
