So I have a huge tattoo on my left arm and I love it but I have to hide it for a special event. So any ideas how to cover it up.

Try Kat Von D's tattoo concealer. I'm not sure how it works, so look it up and see what you think! I saw on LA Ink, where she apparently applied it all over her body, and it covered ALL of her tattoos up.

Hi Angela,
While it's time consuming a good concealer, brush and setting powder are going to be your best friends. If your tattoos are primarily colors it is much easier to hide than black lines but I've worked with both - on myself and on clients. There are a few concealers I'd recommend:
Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer (heavy coverage)
Too Faced Absolutely Flawless Concealer (buildable coverage - looks very natural on the skin)
Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer (also buildable coverage)
With a dense concealer brush (or foundation brush for larger tattoos), apply the concealer in a wispy motion.
Next, set the concealer with a loose powder such as Make Up Forever HD Finishing Powder or Anna Sui Loose Powder.
Repeat these steps until the tattoo is officially covered. You can also spritz a little of Make Up Forever's Mist and Fix over the finished product to make sure it does not rub off on clothes.
I hope this helps!
xo

Try coloring over it with a concealer pencil, letting that set for a bit, then going over it with a full coverage liquid concealer, then set it with powder. that's how I covered my sisters tattoo for a friends wedding, and hers is black and red. best of luck!

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but if you go over the tattoo with red lippy, let that dry and then go over it in concealer, and cover it with foundation and then setting powder, it covers it up nicely. If your red ink is showing too much, apply green toned concealer over the usual concealer, and then go on with foundation and powder as normal.
