I wash my hair every other day but my hair gets oily the same day I wash it. I have used the dry shampoo but doesn't help much. Any other remedies?

Your washing it too much. Try every 2-3 days and changing your diet has a lot to do w/ it too :-)

You should get a shampoo that has tea tree oil in it. I know Palm Mitchell has one!

I agree with Pamela. What kind of dry shampoo do you use? LUSH has a great product~also adds shimmer; your hair will appear highlighted. It's got great reviews on their site!

When you condition don't do your roots.

I have the same problem plus dark hair so shimmer and powder products don't work well plus they show up in dark hair.

And I've tried washing less and not conditioning the roots. Neither help at all.

Strip your hair of the natural oil. Use a deep penetrating clairifying shampoo. If you have to, do a vitamin c treatment. It requires clairifying shampoo and vitamin c powder. Its very drying. Its to remove semi permanent colors but in your case you should try it. And if your hair gets oily, don't condition at all. It will make it worse. Make sure your hair is damp when you add the mixture. Leave it in for an hour before bed. Also, do you switch your shampoos everything month?

Paul Mitchell shampoo or one that have lemon or mint. Ohhh and minimize hair products.

I forgot buy a small bottle of Dawn. My hair does get oily like yours once in a while since my hair and skin are bleh. I use dawn to maintain the oils in my skin and scalp. You might want to leave it on your hair for five mintues in the shower. I hope it helps love!

Also make sure you are washing your conditioner out completely and not using too many hair products!

Your washing it too much(; I use a conditioning cleanser 2-3 times a week to clean my hair (like wen, but it is a much cheaper brand called Salon Grafix) and I use Dove's dry shampoo when I'm going out and it looks greasy. You can just keep using what you use but do it less, at first your hair will hate it but it will get used to it. Dry shampoo is needed though!

I never ever use sprays in my hair. I wash my hair every two days with shampoo first just a reg cheap kind nothing fancy and a reg conditioner. So I never get oily hair but when you do get oily hair put some baby powder in it, it won't look oily

Was going to say, try to lay off the conditioning and products you put on your hair.

I'm sure you already thought of this, but how often do you touch your hair? I've noticed my hair mostly gets oily when I touch it a lot. Just thought I would mention it.
