Try adding a tiny bit of nail polish remover to help thin it out and make it less gluggy.

I've mixed in a little top coat and its helped but nail polish remover or thinner is best

Use thinner don't use remover I have a big glass jar I bought at Sally's and its a life saver! I can't remember the name tho >.<
