Can't really suggest a color to do with it to you do to my OCD with colors, but I can say this, whatever color you decide to do with it it needs to be something that you can just put over the red and not have to bleach out. Along with Black red is one of the hardest colors to bleach out and with you just doing it it will be even harder and more damaging.
