Dermal piercings and locations- any advice?

I've been thinking about getting dermal piercings for a while, but I don't know anyone who has them and I could use some advice.

I really love piercings, but I need locations that can be covered with clothing because I'm a teacher. My fiancee suggested getting dermal piercings here*, and it's been in the back of my mind for months.

I'm worried, however, about rejection or the piercings getting caught on something and ripping out. I had some bad experiences with cartilage piercings rejecting even though I took care great of them.

Does anyone have any advice about dermal piercings in general, or about getting any piercings in this location?

My advice would be not to get them there, you would catch them a lot! I would suggest somewhere like your wrist or your collarbones if you have them covered!

Shannon- that's why I'm taking my sweet time considering them!

Holly- Wouldn't they get caught on everything if they were on your wrists?

I wanted to get them somewhere that wouldn't be in a natural crease or along a waistband... I'm just mulling it over. Thanks for the advice!

Believe it or not no! I've had mine done and I was shocked that they didn't! Hope this helps!

If you do decide to get dermals I suggest going somewhere that they use the dermal punch. In my opinion dermals look great everywhere I want to get a few, its just expensive.

Do the punch. I have mine where you want yours don't catch at all. Quite good healers if well looked after. Its hard to change the gem though. I've had mine for just over 2 years. The one between my boobs lasted only months, placement is key. I'm thinking back dimples next :) not the best pic but at least you get an idea of what it looks like.

Just realised where you want them...could catch a fair bit esp the 1st month of healing which needs the most care.

I've ripped out two through clothes. One also rejected which was on my arm. I want more but I'm looking for better places to put them. worth the pain.
