I've always bought cheaper makeup, I want to start buying nicer makeup.. Is it worth it and what are the necessary things to buy to start a good makeup collection!?

It is true, expensive doesn't necessarily mean better. Many expensive products contain the same ingredients as less expensive ones (I'm looking at you, MUFE HD Powder) and everything depends on application. Even the greatest high end products will perform poorly with mediocre technique. Look at reviews before purchasing anything-Makeup Alley has tons of reviews and you can sort them based on your needs (e.g. dry skin, dark complected, etc.).

It really depends on your taste and skills.Eyeshadows r tricky cuz it fall everywhere.Mac usually dnt do that.Tarte is messy and nt that pigmented.I took bk Revlon cuz it didn't wk well where Maybelline wks great for me the eyestudio.I dnt like drug store foundation cuz I'm afraid of breakots of my oily skin.I dnt like Mac mascara bt like L'oreal or covergirl.Wet and wild has improved greatly and before I wouldn't try it cuz it was cheap bt thy r good as Mac.

Not everything on high end works greatly. I've spent money before and I can honestly say some quality just doesn't compare to the cheaper brands. My suggestion, go in store and test it. Don't buy it online.

Some high end makeup is worth it and some is not. I personally like foundation because it lasts longer and usually has more coverage than drugstore. Another thing I like when getting high end makeup is eye liner only because my eyes are oily and sensitive. If you have a good eye primer then buying drugstore eye shadows isn't a bad idea either :) honestly, just review the items online and see what others have to say :)
